- Van Horn High School’s Math and Science team was on the road last weekend, competing in the Andrews Invitational. There were some 11 schools competing in that meet.
The Van Horn Math and Science team returned home with a 3rd Place overall trophy. The calculator team took 1st place. The science team took 3rd place. The number sense team finished in 4th place and the math team took 5th place.
Shown below is how Van Horn kids finished in the various categories:
Calculator: 12th Grade - Rebecca Mendias, 1st; Rutesh Bhakta and Julio Baeza, tied for 2nd; Margie Martinez, 9th. 11th Grade - Ram Patel, 3rd. 10th Grade - Jackie Grado, 3rd. 9th Grade - Imisha Bhakta, 2nd.
Science: 12th Grade - Rebecca Mendias, 2nd; Margie Martinez, 5th. 11th Grade - Ram Patel, 10th. 10th Grade - Jackie Grado 9th; Shannon Davis, 10th. 9th Grade - Imisha Bhakta, 2nd.

February 12 is deadliine for Little Dribbler signup
If you’re interested in playing Little Dribbler basketball, then you’ll want to pay particular attention to this notice.
You may register at City Hall anytime during normal business hours if you want to play. But remember, the deadline to register to play Little Dribblers basketball is Friday, February 12th.
